Hi, Im Morgannah, I am Town Chief of Svaha, Home of the Shroomies, and I have spent the last two GoonZu Terms as your Minister Kirin.

Trying to compose a speech isnt the easiest thing for me to do. Im not a fan of false claims and big promises, it seems most speeches are used to convey these ideals. So Ill be as straight forward with you as I can.

This election is important for many reasons. We are a game that is currently in a state of transition. We are no longer an infant server. We are growing in size and activity, and with this evolution comes inflation, ad spamming/promoting and whether we want to admit it or not, more conflict.

Id like to elaborate on inflation for a moment.  I see many unhappy people in regards to this issue. They often blame the governmental structure for this occurrence. The truth is, the government has only a small influence on this evolution. Its a natural part of growth, in game. Being a sister server to other servers that have been in existence longer, and have already evolved economically, naturally pushes us towards an inflated state. The trade port acts as a conduit for this activity.

In laymens terms, we have to promote activity, rather than negativity, to insure we dont become a lazy server. As your GoonZu, I want to focus more on events that promote hunting and the fore mentioned activity. More hunting means more materials and more activity means less monotony and less time to create animosity.


Now for the points youll hear all throughout this election...

1st: fourleaf... Fourleaf are, now, a commodity, not just for their capabilities but, because their current worth is at an all time high. The GoonZu cant control the price of leaf, he/she can only distribute them, fairly, to insure everyone gets to enjoy their existence. I want to insure that each town gets their fair share, while still being able to have reserve for server events. The distribution process will consist of 2-4 leafs a day for each and every Town Chief, in game. Other methods of distribution will be through server and forum events. I, also, will choose one raccoon paradise per day (all towns will get one shot before any town gets a second) to distribute some leafs to its participants. In other cases, leafs will be handed to those hunting to further promote more materials in game.

2nd: Red Phoenix Chair... I speak on this second because it was such a central focus through the early stages of last term. Through my experience Ive come to the following conclusions...

1. The market down rate is extremely ineffective. Placing this rate too high, serves as a way to help push along material sales in the market, but, in turn, makes the life of the honest PD impossible. In a perfect world, there would be two rates. One for materials and goods and one for weapons and equips, as lumping the two together makes setting this rate fairly extremely difficult. We simply dont purchase weapons and equips as fast as we do materials, so setting the down rate too high serves as more of a penalty than an asset. However, setting this rate too low can also promote lazy price listings, where the seller lists an item priced high with the thought that it will remain on the market longer, promoting an optimum price. However, this serves the sellers purpose only, not that of the buyers.  I will seek to find a happy medium with my down rate for this reason.

2. Wallace return rate... Wallaces return rate will not remain static. It will be adjusted according to the current state of inflation vs. the items the NPC purchases. It is important to all PDs to benefit from the use of Wallace while spamming, but at the same time, we must remain aware of people exploiting Wallace. If there is no sign of exploitation, the Wallace return rate will be raised, if exploitation exists it will, in turn, be lowered. The effects from adjusting this rate are not instant, so it will be the job of my Minister Phoenix to watch closely and act swiftly.

3rd: Kirin... This position, of course, is close to my heart , having been the Kirin for the past four months. I will use my vast experience in this area to assist my Kirin and help insure he/she is more prepared at the outset of the up and coming term than I was when I first started. Some points of interest are stronger, more defined, rules in regards to slander and verbal abuse through subs and/or in game chat. The effort to watch macro hunters, remove ad spammers and help protect others from scammers will continue to evolve under my reign. The Kirin and his/her Judges will work hard and sacrifice their own game time for the good of the server or be removed!

4th: Tortoise... My minister Black Tortoise will be fair with the handling of the chair. He/She will have a rotating schedule of manufacturing bonuses posted at the forums for everyone to view and I will promote this schedule through the use of yellow text.

5th: White Tiger... My focus for the White Tiger position will be fairness. I will appoint a White Tiger that will carry on the tradition from the previous two terms. Guardian Angel selections will be through application and testing of applicants to verify they are not only capable, but are given a fair shot at the position.

6th: Blue Dragon... My dragon will insure he/she schedules Dark Army Events to cater to ALL time zones. To increase this roles importance, I will often use my Blue Dragon to help assist me with server events.

7th: Server Events... I want to have a raffle drawing, for all, in which the winner will receive fourleaf and the use of my aura for the duration of his/her fourleaf. This will be done more than once a week and will be ongoing, if all goes well. My other ideas include, but are not limited to, forum events and a new event I have been testing out called Party Wars. Party Wars will be a part of my ongoing effort to promote hunting and monotony breaking activities for us all. I want to focus more on mini events, rather than putting too much effort into large ones. This will give more people an opportunity to be a part of things and create smaller gaps between events.

I ask one thing from you this voting term... Be sure you support the person you feel is best prepared and moreover has the best interest of the entire server at heart. With the current price of leafs and the overall growth of the server, these two factors have never been more important!
